Biography. Born in Newfoundland, studied and lived in Boston and Paris, also visited Venice. Post-Impressionist painter whose oils and watercolors are charming scenes of people enjoying the park, the seashore, and other pleasant places.
Miembro del grupo de The Eight (Los Ocho), que a principios del siglo XX promovió un cambio en el encorsetado panorama artístico norteamericano del momento, el pintor Maurice Brazil Prendergast nació en Canadá en 1858 y, siendo aún un niño, se trasladó a Boston junto a su familia.
