We made a number of records together – 2 with the band Rubisa Patrol, the first one being named after the band. Art and I went on to make a duo record titled We Begin, which explored all the various aspects of our personal experiments.
Rubisa Patrol is an album by American jazz pianist Art Lande recorded in May 1976 and released on ECM later that year. Lande's Rubisa Patrol quartet features trumpeter Mark Isham and rhythm section Bill Douglass and Glenn Cronkhite.

24 de dic. de 2010 · With Lande at the keys, Mark Isham (very much in a Kenny Wheeler mode) on horns and soprano sax, Bill Douglass on bass and flutes, and Glenn Cronkhite on drums and percussion, the results can only be magical.

At 16 minutes, it is more main course than appetizer, but whets our expectations all the same with its vivid prime directive while offering food for thought via Mark Isham’s serpentine melodies.
3 de abr. de 2022 · Swanky chamber jazz from the pianist Art Lande’s star-studded, but short-lived ensemble Rubisa Patrol. To many people this is the epitome of ECM sound. Luxuriously recorded, atmospheric, pensive… A bit meandering compositionally-speaking, but always gorgeously textured.
