Turkana-See. Äthiopien [ ʔɛˈtʰi̯oːpʰi̯ən] ( amharisch ኢትዮጵያ Ityop̣p̣əya, aus altgriechisch Αἰθιοπία Aithiopia; amtlich Demokratische Bundesrepublik Äthiopien) ist ein Binnenstaat im Nordosten Afrikas. Zur Zeit des Kaiserreichs Abessinien war das Land auch als Abessinien (seltener auch Abyssinien) bekannt.
