The Strandbad Wannsee is an open-air lido on the eastern shore of Großer Wannsee lake, a large bay of the Havel river in Berlin, Germany. Opened in 1907, it is one of the largest inland lidos in Europe, with a beach that is 1,275 metres (4,183 ft) long and 80 metres (260 ft) wide, [1] replenished with sand from the Baltic coast. [2]

Nice and clean beach, plenty of space, always nice temperature in the water, and good kiosks selling the most important stuff. Easy access by S-bahn from other parts of Berlin, and a quick bus ride from the station to the Strandbad, but you can also walk the cosy path from the station.

The lido on the shore of lake Wannsee has a history of over 100 years. It is located in the south-west of Berlin and borders directly on the natural Grunewald forest.
